New Media Review #3
Soundcloud is an online audio distribution platform that allows users to collaborate, promote and distribute audio files. This website is unique as it is free and offers downloads to anyone's music. Similar to other music platforms users can create playlists, like songs, follow artists and even upload their own music. Soundcloud has been known to be a great starting site for underrated music producers as it allows people to be exposed to artists they have not heard of. New Media Review #2
MusixMatch is an organization focused on provided users with accurate, up to date lyrics for any song from any artist. By simply searching for a song title, artist, or album, MusixMatch will render thousands of results in seconds. MusixMatch is similar to a wiki as lyrics are submitted by people from all around the world; although monitors of the website make sure what is being submitted is accurate. Musixmatch is also displayed in an app for any device, available for free at any time.

New Media Review #1:
Shazam is a mobile app that allows users to "Shazam" or search for music and TV shows by sound. This app picks up on audio fragments and informs users where the sound comes from. For example if you heard a song playing on the radio and wanted to know what the song was, you could open the Shazam app and BAM, it would let you know the title of the song, artist and which album the song belongs to.  The app also leaves tags of each specific search and generates related music or TV shows. There is also a News and Explore tab in the app that allows users to catch up on popular pop-culture and explore where and how popular music/TV shows are around the world. Overall this app is a MUST download for anyone who loves music and television shows and is one of my most frequently used apps.

Hello and welcome to My Mixed Music. On this blog I will be posting music playlists consisting of the many different genres of amazing music. For my first post I've decided to link my personal playlist just so you can get a feel for what I myself am into. Although I have a very different taste, my blog will consider all sorts of artists in any genre ranging from rap and pop to deathcore and heavy metal.
